One thing is we believe the Godhead to be three seperate beings. God is the Father, Jesus is literally his son, and the Holy Ghost is their messenger. Just like it says in John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, we know that he is litterally talking of his Son Jesus Christ. Of which at this time of year I am extremely grateful for this gift that we have been given.
Also one thing that seperates us from the world is just like in the olden days we believe that there is a Prophet on the earth today. His name is Gordon B. Hinckley. Why would God not want to direct us today as he did in the olden days. We face different problems that people in Moses' time faced. The heavens are not closed, revelations have not ceased, angels still appear to men, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, so he has called a prophet today.
We as members of the LDS Church also have the Book of Mormon which we believe it to be another Testament of Jesus Christ. Just as the Bible testifies of Jesus Christ, so does the Book of Mormon. The Bible takes place in the old world the Book of Mormon takes place in the America's. Why shouldn't God speak to his children in America as he did to his children in the old world. The Book of Mormon is not to replace the Bible, it simply is another testemant on Jesus Christ.

Too all of those who say Mormons are not Christians I have a few things to say. Personally I am tired of hearing that I am not a Christian when I know that he is my Savior and I am a mormon. It is not the Mormon Church, the name of our Church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jesus is the center of our religion. I love him dearly and am grateful for his sacrafice that he made for each one of us. I look forward to this holiday season (Christmas), too celebrate the birth or my Lord and Redeemer. I read from the Bible continually, I also read from the Book of Mormon which only reiderates the teachings from the Bible and clears up much confusion that is set forth.
I also think that Mitt Romney would be an excellent choice for President of the United States, not because he and I are both Mormons, but what he stands for. He is the best candidate for the job.
